COMET Bay College students have shown a wealth of kindness by raising funds and resources for those less fortunate.
Most recently, students at the Secret Harbour school hosted a Free Dress Day and raised $1700 to help those affected by the Victorian bushfires.
They have also targeted the needs of children suffering from the tragedy and are collecting teddy bears to send to them.
Comet Bay dean of gifted and talented education Jennifer Burton helped co-ordinate the appeal with members of the student council and said she was proud of everyone’s efforts.
“It was great to see so many students embrace the fundraising and donate to such a worthy cause,” she said.
“The leadership and initiative that the members of the council demonstrated was fantastic.”
The students’ generosity lasts all year round, with fundraising activities carried out in support of charities and events such as Movember, Daffodil Day and Canteen.
