PRINCESS Margaret Hospital has a new contemporary children’s play space thanks to the City of Subiaco’s Community Men’s Shed.
The men’s shed joined Coda Studios architects to transform the outdated area into a modern, practical indoor playground.
Subiaco Mayor Heather Henderson said the volunteers brought joy to children at what could be a scary time by helping to build the indoor playground.
Run by the City and a steering committee of local men, the men’s shed co-ordinates various community projects for organisations needing help.
The men’s shed has also been involved in conducting woodworking sessions with the Subiaco PCYC, and construction of a garden shed and various pieces of activity equipment for groups at the Tom Dadour Community Centre.
The men’s shed operates from the Tom Dadour Community Centre on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am-1pm.
