MISSING one game was tough, missing a second because of my hamstring injury was even tougher and I definitely don't want to miss this Saturday's clash against Brisbane Roar at ME Bank Stadium (Perth Oval).
Yesterday's 2-3 loss to Sydney FC was hard to swallow.
The boys were magnificent, pushing one of the A-League's top two clubs to the limit and again proving we can compete with anyone in this competition.
Despite missing six players, our squad showed great character and courage to come back not just once, but twice, from a goal down.
The big talking point has been Sydney's second goal and the use of television replays in Football.
FIFA (the games governing body) has constantly said they are against TV replays to judge goals and Sunday's events were a little confusing according to the boys.
Because I didn't travel to Sydney, I can only go by the feedback I got from the players.
They said the referee initially awarded a corner after the ball had crossed the line and slipped out through the side netting.
A replay of the goal was then flashed on the big screen before the referee consulted with his assistant and a goal was awarded.
None of the players thought we were cheated. It was definitely a goal; it's just they were a little puzzled like everyone was for a while.
Now it all comes down to Saturday and our match against the Roar. Win, and we can still host a home final, and that's our simple focus for the week.
