Fremantle Dockers within two wins of grand final

THE Fremantle Dockers proved sceptics wrong by beating Hawthorn 14.10 (94) to 8.16 (64) on Saturday afternoon in the first week of the AFL finals series.

Cheered on by a capacity crowd, Fremantle had a 17-point lead by quarter time.

The Hawks kicked seven behinds in the second term and Fremantle took a handy lead into half time.

Eight goals to seven after the main break secured a famous win.

Mark Harvey's team held an open training session this morning.

The Dockers next play reigning premiers, Geelong, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Friday night.
