A DeLorean DMC-12. A DeLorean DMC-12.

IF you don't know what a DeLorean looks like, there’s one in the WA Motor Museum at Whiteman Park.

However, if you want to see a car park full of them, head for Ireland in May.

Because it will be the Irish brand’s 30th anniversary, and more than 100 of the vehicles, made world famous by “the Professor” and Michael J Fox in the Back To The Future movies, will be there.

Cars will be brought over from Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, France and Norway.

The first DeLorean DMC-12 rolled off the production line near Belfast in January, 1981, with around 9000 produced until December 1982.

About 6500 are believed to still be on the road. Visitors will be able to tour the old DeLorean factory.

Created by John DeLorean, the The DMC-12 was designed by Giorgetto Guigiaro, and had a V6 engine jointly-developed by Peugeot, Renault and Volvo.

The event in Ireland is from May 26 to 29. More info on www.eurofest2011.com
