VIETNAM’S world-renowned resort destination Ha Long Bay is set for the opening of Accor’s Novotel Ha Long Bay on October 1.

Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO-listed World Heritage area, is 165km from Hanoi in the Gulf of Tonkin and is renowned for its spectacular natural beauty.

The area boasts more than 3000 islands with many beaches and grottos and hundreds of caves set into the limestone rocks. The rocks – more like small mountains – rise straight out of the ocean, sometimes rising over 500m.

The 214-room Novotel overlooks the bay and combines modern European architecture and authentic Asian interior design with extensive use of polished stone, glass and marble set against delicate silk, wickerwork and carved wood.

The hotel is within walking distance of markets, the beach and the pier where tourists board sightseeing cruises.

Two special launch offers for Novotel Ha Long Bay are now available and valid until December 31.
